BRÖDERNA ANDERSSON COMPANY

(1912 – Today)

AtNorki, we have a deep admiration for Swedish vintage style, especially that embodied by the company Bröderna Andersson. Founded in 1912 by Gottfrid and Jenny Andersson, this pioneering company in Scandinavian upholstered furniture has evolved and thrived through the generations.

The Andersson family, with their innovative vision, laid the foundations for success by acquiring mills, a saw, and water rights in the Ekenässjon region of Sweden. They then built a modern residential building and a carpentry workshop where they began manufacturing furniture, including a chest of drawers that was among their first creations. Andersson's distinctive style, characterized by clean lines, organic shapes, and the use of natural materials such as wood and leather, quickly gained popularity.

From 1946, their sons Sven, Inge, and Max took over the company, inaugurating a new factory in 1956. Since 1996, it has been Gottfrid and Jenny's grandchildren who continue the tradition of quality and design, making Bröderna Andersson's creations icons of modern Swedish design displayed in museums worldwide.

Inspired by this exceptional heritage, at Norki, we have recently restored a pair of lounge chairs and a 1950s vintage sofa. These pieces perfectly reflect the elegance and craftsmanship of Scandinavian design, bringing an authentic and vintage touch to any interior.
