(1912 – 1982)

Anders Pehrson was a talented Swedish designer known for his pivotal role in the rise of the Ateljé Lyktan brand.

When Pehrson took over Ateljé Lyktan in 1964, he embarked on a journey toward large-scale production focused on international markets. He conceived numerous sustainable designs with varied shapes, functions, and colours, creating a unique aesthetic that marked his era. Throughout his career, he launched several iconic lamp models that would become his signature.

One of the greatest successes of his career remains the Bumling lamp, which was presented for the first time at a lighting exhibition in Gothenburg in 1968. This large lamp immediately captivated the Swedish and international public, with its distinctive silhouette and retro design blending seamlessly into contemporary kitchens. To this day, the Bumling lamp is still manufactured in Åhus and remains a symbol of Scandinavian design, reflecting Anders Pehrson's innovation and ambition in the field of design.

In 1972, around 16 000 thousand luminaires from the company Ateljé Lyktan furnish the Olympic village of the Munich Olympic Games.
