Design enthusiasts, the owners of this exceptional apartment gave us carte blanche to create a large rug that would showcase their collection of designer furniture in the most beautiful way.

Our proposal immediately focused on our Milan rug, with its resolutely contemporary design, strong lines, and bold colours.

This incredible rug perfectly highlights the Charles Eames lounge chair, a vintage Noguchi coffee table, and an armchair and ottoman by Folke Ohlsson.

Did you know that in Brussels, around a thousand buildings are inspired by the Art Nouveau ? The capital, a true open-air museum, this year celebrated the 130th anniversary of the movement formed around the prolific Victor Horta, the tutelary figure of the movement in Belgium.

To understand the Art Nouveau, you should capture his leader Victor Horta. Good thing, a gallery bear his name and constitute the best introduction to this thematic getaway. Stepping through the doorway of this grey stone house, we are immediately immersed in the intimate world of Viollet-le-Duc's creator and disciple. Here, his personal home and workshop are united in a single UNESCO World Heritage-listed building. Over a century after the architect's departure, the house retains its original beauty: stained glass, furniture, and murals create a harmonious whole, from the smallest mosaic to the most intricate doorknob.

It is hard to believe that the baron did not consider himself an Art Nouveau artist, but rather a modern Gothic. An exhibition based on his personal archives is now shedding light on the enigmatic figure of Horta...
