3. Prototyping, Selection of Final Colours and Materials
From the initial sketch, the workshops are responsible for creating prototypes of each new piece.
Creating this first version is always a pivotal moment and a source of intense pleasure. Perfectionist by nature, the Maison views the materials it works with as a unique source of inspiration, striving for the perfect alchemy between forms, materials, and colours. While some sculpt marble, Norki delights in sculpting and animating hides, the Maison’s signature. A master in the art of sublimating materials, Norki loves to exploit and explore all the possibilities offered, turning them into perfect mediums to play with creativity and breathe a wind of freedom. The hides, whose natural reflections come to life under the light, provide an unrivalled and inexhaustible source of inspiration.
For the Norki spring-summer 2024 Collection, shearling and cowhide have emerged as a “common thread” to create visual unity. Strong colours have been chosen, presenting a palette ranging from Emerald Green to Navy Blue, Pure White to Golden Beige. This harmonious colour palette is featured across precious rugs, bold cushions, and creative furniture lines.
4. Final Adjustments Before Approval
The created object can finally be submitted for Sonia Linard’s approval. Sometimes, 2 to 3 modifications and numerous touch-ups are required before she gives her final approval.
In parallel, the design office begins to compile the collection catalogs, which will present the collection in its entirety.
The catalog for this spring-summer Collection has been designed harmoniously with warm and luminous tones, featuring elegant graphics in line with the creations it showcases. In the realm of Haute Decoration, nothing beats a demonstration by example, so why not judge for yourself? The haute couture collections of Maison Norki are exhibited in their boutiques in Gstaad, Paris, and Megève. These three must-visit locations for all design and craftsmanship enthusiasts offer the opportunity to rediscover the Maison’s universe and journey through their most iconic pieces.
