NORKI FALL-WINTER 2024 COLLECTION
Norki Fall-Winter 2024 Collection: A Brutalist and Artisanal Escape
Winter is approaching, offering the perfect opportunity to redefine your interior with unique pieces that blend luxury, comfort, and character. Norki unveils its new Autumn-Winter 2024 Collection, a line that fuses the poetry of Slavic inspirations with brutalist aesthetics, celebrating the authenticity of natural materials and exceptional craftsmanship for luxurious decor.
New Fall-Winter 2024 Collection by Norki
The Fall-Winter 2024 Collection by Norki, titled ANJA, marks a turning point in the Maison’s history. It embodies the power of raw nature and the finesse of artisanal creations, offering much more than mere decorative objects: each piece tells a story and breathes life into your interior.
Meticulously designed with attention to detail, this collection blends memories of a bygone era with modernity. You will discover rugs, throws, cushions, and unprecedented furniture: benches, chairs, and screens. These new unique creations have never been made before by Norki.
The Essence of This Collection
The Fall-Winter 2024 Collection is not just a selection of furniture and decor. It is a genuine exploration of the deep roots of the founder and artistic director, Sonia Linard. In homage to her childhood memories, she celebrates exceptional craftsmanship and the use of natural materials.
Far from the traditional soft palettes and pastel tones, this collection asserts itself with a rawer and more authentic aesthetic. Inspired by nature and brutalist architecture, the line is bold, mysterious, and leading-edge. It explores the alliance between the simplicity of past lives and the modern, geometric forms, and brutalist Art.
A Collection of Fascinating Contrasts
What distinguishes this collection is its duality: both highly masculine and paradoxically imbued with great femininity. Rough materials, like "axe-cut" wood, blend with the softness of suede leather and sheepskin, creating a striking contrast between the roughness of the material and the enveloping elegance of the skin. This combination generates a warm and powerful atmosphere, making each piece unique.
Breaking away from the beige and white hues often associated with Norki decor, this collection dares to assert itself with noble materials and bold geometric lines, while preserving the sensitivity and poetry inherent to the Maison. It embodies authenticity in its rawest form, while exuding a rare and timeless beauty.
An Ode to Sonia Linard's Childhood
Through ANJA, Sonia Linard invites us into her personal universe, steeped in memories of her childhood in Eastern Europe. This collection pays tribute to the raw beauty of this region, where bold geometric shapes and contrasting textures intertwine with the deep tones of the materials. It evokes the icy landscapes and harsh winters that marked her childhood.
The colour palette, between the dark hues of solid oak and the cold whites evoking snow, creates a contemplative and introspective atmosphere. Each piece seems to be a living memory, where the timelessness of the materials blends with the purity of the forms, creating an ambiance that is both raw and poetic.
"This Collection, a tribute to my Slavic origins, I wanted it almost brutalist but filled with immense softness and poetry: skins dress the sawn wood, colours are dark and deep, bright and immaculate.
Each object represents a chapter of my memories."
A Tribute to Brutalist Art and Simple Life
Far from being a mere decorative trend, this collection dives into the soul of Eastern Europe, where families lived modestly in harmony with nature. The creations of this collection are imbued with this philosophy of simplicity and solidity, which they reinterpret through brutalist art. Solid wood and sheepskin are highlighted, paying homage to the raw beauty of the material.
Combining artisanal tradition and modern forms, Norki transforms these noble materials into true works of art, offering creations that are both functional and aesthetic. This collection does not just decorate, it tells a story, that of a bygone era but still present in the spirit of each piece.
Rugs, Throws, Cushions, benchs, chairs, screens : Unique Luxury Pieces for a Brutalist Interior Design
Brutalist interior design is at the heart of this collection. Bold shapes, clean lines, and the bold use of raw materials (solid oak, sheepskin) give each creation a strong and unique aesthetic. Norki's creations are not mere decorative objects, but a true design philosophy.
Forest Collection: Large Designer Rug – Sheepskin Cushion
In the night of a deep forest in Central Europe, the shifting greens of the foliage and the black of the heavy skies blend and merge in a mysterious ballet. The shadows rhythmically shape the space in a repetitive and random dance, with the trees, benevolent giants, appearing before our eyes. One can hear the silence, allowing the beauty of the place and the moment to emerge.
This new line of rugs and matching cushions features a harmonious geometric pattern and boldly combines black shearling with mottled blue/green cowhide in a modern design. Elegant and deep colours and noble materials give each of these creations a sophisticated and contemporary look, bearing a strong visual signature. These objects, with their precise design and meticulous assemblies, stand out with their irregular repetitive patterns, creating a captivating interplay of shapes that is both structured and unstructured.
Anissia Collection: Cushion and Throw with Fringes
A Slavic woman is in herself a song with multiple registers, where laments of mourning, refrains of daily joys, and the tones of an uncontrollable vital force alternate. The shawl is forever anchored in their destiny. Colourful and adorned with long fringes, it covers their heads, protects from the cold, and wraps around newborns.
This new Collection of throws and cushions revisits this symbol, the very expression of this eternal folklore. The colours become deep and mysterious, the fringes numerous and noble. In a perfect assemblage of multiple leather straps, our skilled artisans, heirs of a precious know-how, have crafted these objects in a true creative challenge met with ingenuity and virtuosity.
Zima Collection: White Square Rug et White Comfortable Cushion
It is in the plains of Eastern Europe, of unparalleled beauty, that this new collection is drawn: the snowy landscapes offer us wonders and the purity of nature invites us to contemplation.
This winter landscape, white and pristine, is interspersed with twigs scattered randomly across its untouched snow carpet.
This new line of rugs and cushions, signed Norki, unmistakably tells of the snowy landscapes of the great plains of Central Europe and the Great Winters, inseparable companions of Slavic stories. The materials used, sheepskin of immaculate whiteness and dappled calfskin, confer a lightness and fluidity that pay homage to the light inspiration of the collection.
From Pushkin to Pasternak to Tolstoy, who sing of the snow and the cold in each of their novels, our Maison wanted to give its poetic and dreamlike version of these vast expanses with their muffled silence.
Sonia Linard, our artistic director, continues this tradition of the great Classics by quoting Tolstoy: "Large heaps of powdery snow rose on the steep banks of the Tchagra River. In some places, they overhung the river, forming promontories. All it took was to walk on one of these promontories for it to collapse, compact, and for a mountain of snow to roll down the slope in a cloud of powdery snow." Alexei Tolstoy – Nikita's Childhood
Sarafan Collection: Embroidered Cushion and Throw
Our eyes has settled on the traditional Slavic costume as on a work of art, to discern its hidden jewels and offer us a sublime understanding of the grandeur of traditional folk art. This Norki collection, featuring matching throws and cushions, aims to be contemporary while preserving the authenticity of its source of inspiration.
Rich embroideries and noble materials shape these creations, where decorative techniques and attention to detail delicately express the abundance and romanticism inherent in Eastern European culture.
Our Sarafan cushion, with its powerful and smooth black leather, complements a sheepskin in a fruitful dialogue and is adorned with rich traditional motifs embroidered on deep green suede leather on its back. The matching throw continues the same interplay of materials but features a lining of rich cashmere.
Datcha Throw – Shearling Throws
The Tatras mountains and long sleigh rides, wrapped in fur throws, come to mind. The sound of bells, the horses dressed for the occasion, and the biting cold complete this winter scene, filled with poetry and shared memories.
In the gentle embrace of a newborn winter, our Datcha throw made of ultra-soft shearling invites itself into your home like a warm, velvety caress.
Blending a subtle range of heathered shades – from bright white to soft beige, from gentle grey to deep brown – it tells the story of nature’s authentic colors, harmoniously intertwined. Each square of genuine hide, carefully assembled into a random patchwork, is like a piece of a romantic puzzle, where textures and hues blend together in quiet poetry.
Unlined and surprisingly lightweight, it still wraps you in an unexpected warmth, soft as a tender embrace. The absence of lining reveals the purity of the fur, which, while delicate, acts as a shield against the winter’s chill.
Atya Collection: White Large Armchair et White Footstool
A variation of our Bao armchair, our new Atya armchair is designed to be wider and more imposing than the original creation.
The curves are softened, but the comfort remains ever-present. The immaculate sheepskin gently covers this new piece with simple forms that multiply the finishing details.
This armchair, a true everyday object, rests on a swivel base that ensures an undeniable visual lightness and is paired with a stool featuring pure and elegant lines.
This set reveals the authenticity of the work with natural materials, a signature of our Maison.
Yaga Collection: Benchs, Chairs et Screen
The name of this collection carries the childhood memories of Slavic children. The mysterious Baba Yaga, the little grandmother, half witch, half goddess, from the most beautiful tales of Eastern Europe, accompanies them from the heart of her small Isba.
This new trilogy of everyday objects from our Maison illustrates the reimagined brutalism of this design with simple, readable lines and our taste for the metamorphosis of the classic. In a true respect for the place of origin, no fake decor, but a reinterpretation of reality. In a harmonious mix of genres, the materials are consistent, and the choices are assertive. The solid wood is dark, and the hides contrast with their gentle austerity. Each piece in this Collection is unique, shaped by the hand of the lumberjack. Trimmed with beads and sequins or adorned with leather fringes patiently assembled by the small hands of our Haute Couture Workshop, these objects become a Collection.
