The Craftsmanship Behind Buji Collection
Buji candles, designed in Switzerland and crafted in France, fuse art and elegance into creations intended to awaken the senses. Each candle is a work of art, combining the sensuality of sculpture, the delicacy of a jewel, and the refinement of contemporary design. The container, hand-carved from premium Spanish alabaster, is a true unique piece. Inside, a soy wax candle, composed of natural ingredients, diffuses captivating fragrances. These olfactory creations, designed in collaboration with British perfumer Lyn Harris, capture fleeting moments, offering imaginary escapes between dream and contemplation.
Alabaster: A Magical Material
Alabaster, both soft and fragile, requires precise expertise and high-level skill for its extraction and the crafting of finished products. The material used for Buji candles comes from a quarry in Spain, where the best mineral blocks are selected. These blocks are then hand-carved on-site, using a complex technique that preserves the purity of the alabaster, giving each Buji candle its unique character.
Buji Collection Candles
The Buji Collection candles come in several sizes: small, classic, and large. The containers are primarily made of alabaster, with one exception in glass for the "Lily of the Valley" candle. All candles are made from soy wax.
These olfactory treasures feature top notes of bergamot and Sicilian lemon, heart notes of melon and orange blossom, and base notes of cedarwood, eucalyptus, and woody undertones. "Avant le Jour" stands out with different notes: floral top notes, jasmine, wild iris flower in the heart notes, and amber, pepper, and cedar in the base.

Sophie Margaux – Founder of BUJI
An insatiable traveller with a curious nature, Sophie Margaux, founder of Buji, is an interior designer originally from Germany, now based in Switzerland, in a region bordering the Bernese Alps. It is amidst these peaceful yet striking natural landscapes that she finds her inspiration. Before creating Buji, Sophie Margaux worked as an interior architect for high-end commercial and residential sectors. Passionate about the emotional power of scented candles but disappointed by the lack of originality in their design, she decided to create Buji—a creative interpretation of this object, applying her avant-garde vision to a container that would finally capture the fleeting poetry of fragrance.
