Our Art Radar:
Among the must-see galleries, Fritsch-Ritsch will spotlight the works of A.C.M, Flore Sigrist, and Maison Norki.
A.C.M. (1951-2023) – A Key Figure in French Brutalist Art
Born Alfred Marié, A.C.M. became a major reference in French Art Brut. His singular works are the result of meticulous assemblages of wood, metal, plaster, and chalk, forming structures that oscillate between collapse and elevation. Often described as temples or architectural pieces, his sculptures reflect a tension between density and lightness, carrying the imprint of time. His work is featured in prestigious public collections, including the Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre Pompidou and the Lille Métropole Museum of Modern, Contemporary, and Art Brut (LaM), which holds around twenty of his pieces.
Flore Sigrist – Color as an Artistic Language
A self-taught artist, Flore Sigrist explores an artistic approach where color plays a central role, structuring her compositions and guiding her movements. A precocious talent, she held her first exhibition at the Sporting d’Hiver in Monaco at just ten years old and quickly made a name for herself internationally. In 2015, she was featured in Forbes' "30 Under 30" ranking of the most influential young artists in the art market. Her work has been showcased in New York, Miami, and Brussels, and she has also created murals for the Council of Europe and monumental sculptures in Strasbourg and the Mer Marine Museum in Bordeaux. Her technique blends spontaneity and control, creating a subtle dialogue between intuition and composition.
For this new edition, Norki will present a selection of iconic pieces from its collections, alongside carefully curated vintage furniture. Among the creations to discover: a rosewood coffee table, the legendary Swan chair by Arne Jacobsen, and an elegant white Portobello ottoman from Norki’s own collection.
Founded in 2010 by Sonia Linard, Norki has established itself as a renowned French Haute Decoration House on an international scale. Specializing in the creation of rugs, throws, cushions, seating, and furniture, the brand brings refined elegance to prestigious spaces—from luxury hotels and mountain lodges to seaside villas and New York apartments.
Each piece is designed with absolute precision, from the initial sketch to the final creation, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and a distinctive French signature.
