AN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION NORKI/ MAISON HENRY JACQUES LE MÊME

An exclusive collaboration with Maison Henry Jacques Le Même

In an exclusive collaboration with Maison Henry Jacques Le Même (Maison HJLM), Maison Norki has created the Noémie Collection, a harmonious ensemble of matching rugs, throws and cushions, carefully crafted in its French workshop.

The original, elegant central pattern is a tribute to the shape of a coat rack designed by Henry Jacques Le Même for a chalet nestling in Rochebrune, in the village of Megève. The brown tones and natural hues of the materials give this Noémie set a timeless elegance that evokes the warm atmosphere of Alpine chalets.

our noémie collection

The Noémie collection pays tribute to Baroness Noémie de Rothschild, a key figure in the creation of Megève's refined architectural style. In fact, in 1926, she wanted a ‘country farm’ adapted to modern uses and the needs of elegant ski tourists. Henry Jacques Le Même designed the famous ‘Skier's Chalet’ to meet their needs.

With this collection of exceptional pieces, Maison Norki and Maison HJLM are proud to pay tribute to this philanthropist, who is now considered to be the creator of the Megève winter sports resort. Each piece, inspired by the creations of Henry Jacques Le Même, is an ode to the elegance and timeless charm of the 1930s. The furniture is made from solid oak and is highly recognisable thanks to the use of repeated geometric patterns. The stools, lamps, tables, wall lights and coat racks are designed and made in the village of Megève by craftsmen who share Henry Jacques Le Même's history and passion.

HENRY JACQUES LE MÊME

Born in 1897, Henry Jacques Le Même has left an indelible mark on the winter sports resort landscape. A visionary architect, Henry Jacques Le Même has always regarded architecture as an art form. His singular approach blends contemporary aesthetics with the authenticity of themountains. His creations exude precision, harmony and composition, terms that evoke his education at the Beaux-Arts, a training of which he made no secret of his pride. His best-known creations can be found in Haute-Savoie, the region where he grew up. He has built almost 250 chalets in the Alps, mainly in the resorts of Megève a Combloux. Sensitive to modern thinking, Henry Jacques Le Même, who was also a decorator, designed his own furniture, fittings and floor, wall and ceiling coverings for the chalets he built. His creations, whether mountain chalets, luxury residences or charming hotels, continue to dazzle and inspire.

maison HENRY JACQUES LE MÊME

Founded in 2020, Maison Henry Jacques Le Même is a furniture publishing house offering a line of furniture inspired by the legacy of architect Henry Jacques Le Même. Each piece of furniture is designed and produced in limited and numbered editions using Henry Jacques Le Même’s personal archives. Maison Henry Jacques Le Même attaches particular importance to reviving the vernacular architecture and design of Megève. The Maison’s first project was born in 2020, when Maison Henry Jacques Le Même wanted to bring back to life the chalet La Hutte, built by Henry Jacques Le Même in 1936 and located on the heights of Megève. Maison Henry Jacques Le Même drew on a database and images from almost 300 archives to recreate and re-edit the chalet’s furniture. And so Maison Henry Jacques Le Même was born!
