The armchair has always been one of the most studied objects of design. This iconic piece, long before mass industrial production democratized it, conveyed power and social status. The uncomfortable stools of ancient Egypt were reserved for commoners, while ornate marble chairs were reserved for the nobility. The thrones of kings were then merely the first sketches of today's armchairs.
Contemporary armchairs, designed with a focus on functionality and comfort, are now at the heart of our living spaces. Our Maison is committed to never forgetting this modern use of these essential pieces in its creative thinking. We want high-quality pieces, timeless and trendy but above all comfortable and well-made.
